Foreigners arrested after Swiss '$US134b bonds find'June 16, 2009 Italian authorities say they have arrested two Japanese men who allegedly tried to bring $US134 billion ($165.72 billion) worth of undeclared US bonds into Switzerland.
Anti-fraud police in Como, near the Swiss border, said on Monday the men hid the bonds in the bottom of a suitcase. They were caught in Chiasso's train station June 3 after an inspection.
Police said the two suspects were carrying a total of 259 bonds, including 10 with a value of $US1 billion ($1.24 billion) each and 249 with a value of $US500 million ($618.35 million).
Police said they were checking whether the bonds are authentic. If they are found to be real, the two men could face a fine of E38 billion ($65.73 billion).

Monday, June 22, 2009 The 2 Japanese arrested are employees of the Japan Finance Ministry
It turned out that the 2 Japanese arrested few days ago smuggling $134 Billion in US bonds are employees of the Japan Finance Ministry , Japan was definitely hoping to dump some of its old US Bonds on the black market in Switzerland , just on a personal note , I know that border between Como Italy and Ponte Chiasso Switzerland very well , for having crossed it thousands of times in both directions . These employees of the Japanese Finance Ministry really lack of professionalism to say the least , they were probably just hoping in good luck to make it to the other side , which does not always work . The Japan Finance Ministry really showed his lack of creativity and professionalism and lack of the knowledge of the terrain , just the fact to hope that giving 134 Billions to two Asians in the heart of white MittelEuropa and hope that they would not raise suspicions is laughable , not to mention that the route chosen to smuggle in this case Como Chiasso reflects total lack of knowledge of the area . Probably the Japanese Finance Minister spends his time drinking as it is shown in the clip bellow during the G8 meeting ...
" Japan sent the $134 Billion in bonds to Switzerland because Japan has lost faith in the ability of the U.S. government to repay its debts and Japan wanted to sell the bonds at a discount off face value with the hope of recouping at least some of the money before the U.S.collapses economically." reported The Turner Radio today "The paper bonds below were being smuggled into Switzerland by employees of the Japan Finance Ministry so they could be sold, at discount, under the anonymity of Swiss financial laws. If no one knew Japan was dumping US Treasury bonds, it would not cause a panic worldwide as other nations dumped their US Treasuries too. Japan was rudely surprised when the two employees of the Japan Finance Ministry were grabbed at the Italian border"

Standing up before the seat-belt sign turned off is an offence punishable by US law.
