Drama as Russian Couple hunt down two thieves in Naklua.
On Sunday Night around 10pm Police Sub-Lieutenant Prasib from Banglamung Police station received a complaint from a Russian Couple, Mr. Sergey and Ms. Elena both aged 44 from Russia which detailed a bag snatch which occurred in Soi 555 in Naklua. The couple were walking back to their Hotel when a man and woman on a motorbike drove past the couple and the male passenger grabbed Ms. Elena’s shoulder bag which contained a mobile phone, a small quantity of Thai Baht and some personal documents. Soon after the bag snatch took place, the couple spotted an unattended minibus nearby with the engine running. They located the driver and asked him if they could borrow the minibus. The man accepted and the chase was on. Eventually the couple caught up with the motorbike and in a moment of panic, the driver lost control and the bike fell to the ground. The female motorbike driver aged only 15 and her male accomplice, Khun Atit aged 24 were detained until Police arrived. Police have charged both with theft and it was discovered that Khun Atit has been involved in previous bag snatching cases. The brave Russian couple have now received back their belongings and are continuing to assist Police with their enquiries.

Ladyboy arrested after necklace snatch from Dutch Tourist.
Crimes involving Ladyboy’s continue here in Pattaya. This case comes from Soi 3 off of Pattaya Beach Road and occurred in front of the Charming Inn Hotel. Mr. Zan Bok aged 64 from Holland alerted Police after the suspect had apparently stolen a Gold Necklace from around his neck. Mr. Bok who was walking along the street with his girlfriend was approached by the Ladyboy, Khun Chatchai aged 32 who attempted to befriend the couple and suggested that the three of them go back to Mr. Bok’s Hotel. He refused and Khun Chatchai decided this would be a perfect opportunity to snatch the gold necklace which was in clear view. Passers-by saw the entire event and managed to detain the suspected thief until Police arrived. Khun Chatchai was charged with theft and locked up pending a court appearance.
