Dear Sir.
Current travel restrictions, European Commission recommendations are available at: https://ec.europa.eu/info/live-work-tra ... ictions_en
The necessity of travel is checked and determined at each entry at the external Schengen border. In addition, the conditions of entry set out in the Schengen Borders Code (Article 6; https://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/Le ... 99:EN:HTML ) must also be met.
There are the expansion of the list of exempt categories enabling entry from red-listed countries without having to quarantine or to present a negative PCR test.
The general conditions for crossing the border under the current Decree are as follows:
Entry from third countries on the red list is possible (if the necessity of the trip is recognized) by a negative PCR test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is not older than 48 hours since the swab was taken and was performed in a Member State EU or Schengen area or an organization or individual identified by the Institute of Microbiology and Immunology and the National Laboratory for Health, Environment and Food as relevant and credible and listed on the website of the National Laboratory for Health, Environment and Food ( https://www.nlzoh.si/objave/priznavanje ... anju-meja/ ) or with a negative rapid test result (HAG) made in the EU or in a Schengen country not older than 48 hours from the time of testing.
Travellers are reminded that upon departing or entering Slovenia they must still comply with the restrictions on crossing municipal borders within Slovenia defined in the ordinance that partially and temporarily restricts the movement and gathering of people.
Despite the fact that the list of exemptions for entry into Slovenia has expanded, it is mandatory that travellers comply with an exemption listed in paragraph one of Article 4 of the Ordinance determining the conditions of entry into the Republic of Slovenia to contain and control Covid-19 (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, no. 193/20, 196/20, 204/20, 2/21 and 5/21).
Every person (unless they are passengers transiting Slovenia) leaving Slovenia must comply with an exemption and carry a certificate proving his or her exemption status as well as a signed statement which he or she may be asked to show when and if stopped by officers monitoring compliance via random checks. The same standard applies upon entering Slovenia (unless you are returning to your residence address).
Shopping, tourism, skiing, sports and similar activities are not legitimate grounds to allow entry into Slovenia. These purposes are neither listed as exemptions in the ordinance governing the border crossing regime nor in the ordinance restricting movement and gathering.
