according to the point II.1. of the Protective measure issued by the Ministry of Health of 27th October 2021, there is a general ban on the entry of third-country nationals into the territory of the Czech Republic.
Nevertheless, there are some exception from this ban. One of them is for persons considered as fully vaccinated who at the same time hold entry permit to the Czech Republic. This exception is stated and defined in point II. 1.j).
In this case, the entry permit to the territory of the Czech Republic is:
- residence permit issued by the Czech Republic (temporary, long-term or permanent residence permit)
- long-term visa issued by the Czech Republic (type D visa)
- short-term visa issued by the Czech Republic after 11 May 2020 (type C visa)
- visa-free travel (based on passport) [valid only if the Czech Republic recognises your vaccination or if any other exception from the entry ban according to point II.1 a) to k) applies to you]
- residence permit in another EU + country (long-term or permanent residence permit in an EU + country)
- another visa issued by the Czech Republic
- visa issued by an EU Member State + (Schengen visa) [valid only if the Czech Republic recognises your vaccination or if any other exception from the entry ban according to point II.1 a) to k) applies to you]
The case of vaccination carried out on the territory of a third country is specified in III. 4-7. of the Protective measure.
A person is considered vaccinated if they fulfill the following conditions:
- proof of a valid national certificate* of completed vaccination against COVID-19 according to point III.6 or III.7
*a written confirmation issued at least in English by an authorized entity operating in a third country, the example of which is published on the list of recognized national certificates on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, here:

- at least 14 days have passed since vaccination (14 days after the 2nd dose in the case of a two-dose schedule)
- has no clinical signs of covid-19
This person may travel to the Czech Republic without the need for testing and without restriction of free movement within the territory.
