"Hello, Dear Expedia!
I received email about my booking hotel ... cancellation for the period from ... to ..., reservation №.... I would like to inform you I didn’t think that such cancellation is lawful.
Expedia site (which is mass media) offered me to use the coupon for getting discount at the rate... USD. Also Expedia not just offered to use it, Expedia has permitted me to apply this discount coupon during reservation on the Expedia site. And later Expedia further confirmed my right.
During reservation I used my own credit card, so that my action is not fraud, exactly. And my actions are not having a signs of abuse or suspicious activity. Also I didn’t think that such fraud charges are lawful.
At the moment are you telling me that you permitted me to use discount coupon by mistake. I think that if you make a mistake it is your fault. And I should not have any problems because of your mistake. It is fair play, isn’t it? You offered the right to use and I accepted. I paid money for booking and You confirmed my reservation.
In line with the above I ask to give me a confirmation of my hotel booking and guarantee that I am entitled to put up at a hotel as specified in the confirmation.
Otherwise I will have to inform my bank that paid service of reservation is fraudulent. As that, you will form the obligation to pay any fine and chargebacks for illegal unilateral refusal to service. In addition, I intend to contact to mass media and I think this problem will get wide publicity.
Could you tell me about your decision as soon as possible.
