стала сейчас искать отзыв автора среди англоязычных, не нашла, зато нашла, что у них это (воровство из сейфов) происходит периодически:
We just came back from our honeymoon in Irufushi Beach & Spa Resort. Loved the beach, had great ambiance, everything was perfect until second last day when we decided to start packing our stuff. And that was the night when we found out we were missing $130 from our safe box.
So we called the travel agency back at home and reported the situation. The agency replied back and said if the safe wasn't broken nor was it opened, then it is difficult for them to make a complaint to the resort. So we thought, "Ok, we don't want to ruin our honeymoon because of this. Maybe we left or used the money elsewhere." Although we felt very odd about the missing money, we decided to go for our last night's dinner and told ourselves not to spoil our honeymoon because of the missing $130.
Soon after dinner, we came back to our room and checked the safe again. And, again, this time we were lacking $15 in the safe. You see, we did count every single bill and penny after the whole oddity and came to realiasation that someone did indeed take our money. C'mon, it's not like we don't know how to count... So what did we do? Because we can't communicate in English fluently, or fluently enough to make a complaint, we called the travel agency again and told them what had happened.
Soon, the resort's manager came to our room with some sort of device and told us that this device can track down when and how many times we have opened and closed the safe. Must tell you here, we only opened the safe twice. (Did we trust the resort that much or what....) Surprisingly, according to the high-tech device, we have been opening the safe for QUITE OFTEN. Weird, isn't it?
