Может палатки возьмём? Не будем зависеть от ночёвок в кемпингах, какими-то благами кемпингов воспользуемся и ночуем где хотим!

А можно так прекрасно разнообразить ночёвки: в ущелье Ayaft, в каньоне Wadi Dirhur, в дюнах Stero, в горах Skant, на пляже Areher, в долине Kalesan, на пляже Delisha
Т.е. все эти кемпинги, как я поняла, находятся на побережье. А классно же заночевать в горах, каньоне и ущелье! Не?

Лично я очень "ЗА" в пользу палаток. Наверняка, можно будет в прокат на месте у тех же йеменцев взять, а поездка выйдет гораздо атмосфернее. ИМХО.

А вот что нам пишет знающий человек про палатки:

Не понимаю. Вы кидаетесь из крайности в крайность. То все ночевки в Хадибо, то все ночевки - дикие. Я могу это понять, если это обосновано каким-то планом, графиком движения и т.п. но вы то какой смысл вкладываете чисто в дикие ночевки? Разница будет только в отсутствии электричества, питания, душа и туалета.
В бухту Шуаб надо ехать с утра. А вы пока доедете с Аяфта... и где там ночевать?
Не пытайтесь объять... и впихнуть невпихуемое ... Лучше получить удовольствие от 4-5 сайтов, чем галопом по европам проскакать по 6-7 для галочки. Это мое мнение, конечно, а вы смотрите.

Наверное надо скомпоновать так, чтобы и дикие были (для разнообразия) и кемпинговые (для комфорта и удобства) )))

Day 1: Arrival on Socotra
We will pick you up at the airport and transport you to a Adeeb eco-lodge in Hadibo. After you refresh yourself we will take you for a trip to Ayhaft Canyon National Park. In the canyon (wadi), you will enjoy large fresh waterpools where you can swim or soak. All around you, there will be Tamarind trees, Cucumber trees and a wide variety of birds such as Socotra Sparrow, Socotra Sunbird and both Socotra and Somali Starlings. In fact, Ayhaft is considered as a natural nursery due to its large abundance of endemic trees, plants and birds.
In the afternoon, we will visit Delisha beach with pristine white sands full of crabs. You will relax while swimming both in the sea and in a freshwater lagoon. If you are full of energy you can climb a huge sand dune overseeing the beach. There is also a possibility of watching a fabulous sunset from Delisha.
Dinner and night in Adeeb eco-lodge.

Day 2: Qalansyia / Detwah Bay / Shua'ab area
Today we will drive to the western part of the island where a little fishermen’s town of Qalansyia is located. It consists of traditional Socotri houses, narrow alleyways and a long beach full of fishing boats ready to set off for today’s catch or to take you to Shu’ab beach.
We will continue to neighboring Detwah lagoon which is a marine protected area renowned for its magic landscape. You will be charmed by a white sandy tongue surrounded by turquoise waters of the bay. This surely is one of the best views on the island. You can jump in the shallow sea there and enjoy the paradise. Only be careful with sting rays that can be seen in the lagoon. There is also an array of sea birds to be seen in the lagoon.

Day 3: Golden sands of Shua'ab
After breakfast in Detwah, we will go for a boat trip to Shu’ab. We will surely meet some Spinner Dolphins along the way with cormorants flying over our heads. Once at Shu’ab, we can have a look at a mangrove area. We will have a lunch on the long and clean Shu’ab beach. In the afternoon, feel free to swim and enjoy this pristine place. In late afternoon, we will take a boat ride back to Qalansyia. Line fishing is possible from the boat if you want to catch your today’s dinner.

Day 4: Dixam plateau / the South, Amek sandy beach, Dagub Cave
After breakfast, we will make our way by 4x4 vehicle to Dixam plateau and Shebahon viewpoint. This area is renowned for dragon blood trees, the resin of which is collected, used and traded by the people of Socotra. The area is also home to the endemic and rare Socotra Bunting (estimated at 1,000 pairs). The Shebahon viewpoint gives a fabulous vista overlooking Daerhu canyon (wadi) where we will see unusual yet beautiful rock formations. We will then make our way down to the wadi for lunch and an easy walk and maybe also a swim in a freshwater pool with a natural slide.
After lunch we will head to the south of the island, with visits to villages along the way. Our first destination is Amak beach where we can swim in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean. We will visit Dagub cave overlooking the southern coast. We will then witness the colossal sand dunes of Hayf and Zahek which have been pushed up against the mountainside by the seasonal winds of Socotra. If you are still fit, you can climb the dunes for a view that is truly worth the effort.

Day 5: Homhil Protected Area/ stopover at Qaria Lagoon
Our today’s destination is Homhil, a protected area with fabulous sceneries that give you a kind of prehistoric feeling. We will stop at Qaria lagoon en-route. It is the largest lagoon on the island and we will hopefully see flamingos, herons and greenshanks.
The trek to Homhil starts at the bottom of a spectacular ravine on the sea level. The trek is of medium difficulty and won’t take more than 1,5 hours. You will have enough strength to enjoy the view back towards the sea where we have started ascending.
Once at Homhil, we can choose from a selection of walking trails. You will be astonished by the prehistoric atmosphere of the landscape rich with dragon blood trees and bottle trees. You will be addressed by local children who sell dragon blood raisin and frankincense. One of the trails leads to a viewpoint with a natural pool with almost freezing green and blue water.

Day 6: Arher freshwater creek and beach
After breakfast we will trek to the North-East of the island and will have our lunch in a small cave. The rest of the day we will spend in Arher where a fresh creak coming out from a granite massive is meeting salty sea water on the beach. You can relax on green grass around the creak, swim in the sea or if you feel fit you can climb a huge sand dune to get a fantastic view over this charming spot.

Day 7: Hoq Cave / Dihamari
This morning, we will make an early start to drive to the base of Hoq cave in Terbak village. Before the sunshine gets too hot, we will walk up to the entrance of the Cave. It is more than 3 km long with a water pool at the end and holds a wealth of Socotri history. Inside, you will see ancient stalactites, stalagmites and crystallic formations. Ancient writings on the cave walls and also what appears to be a picture of an old trading ship have been preserved over the ages by a calcite glaze. There is also evidence to suggest that the cave was once used for ritual purposes by the presence of mysterious ‘alters’.
In the afternoon, we will drive to nearby Dihamri marine protected area. It boasts with one of the richest coral reefs on the archipelago. You can relax on the beach in palm leaf huts and swim and snorkel in Dihamri Bay. Snorkeling gear can be hired there. Marine species you will see underwater include: Parrotfish, Moray eel, Rays, Sea urchins, if you are lucky you will meet turtles. Divers can also use the services of Dihamri Diving center and go for a dive in Dihamri or another of superb diving spots of Socotra.

Day 8: Departure from Socotra
After an early breakfast, we will drive you to the Socotra airport. You can visit a souvenir shop there while waiting for a short flight to the mainland.
The price for the above itinerary is $600 per person for a group of two and more.

Я за 8 дней на Сокотре. Но я не уверен насчет "индивидуальных" палаток. Вы уверены, что хотите тащить с собой 7 палаток и каждый раз их все семь ставить и сворачивать? Это, честно говоря, извращением попахивает. Просто я много раз уже ходил в походы с палатками. Ни разу даже мысли не возникало, брать всем "индивидуальные". И сразу тогда возникает вопрос, что это будут за палатки? Если это будут однушки, то они очень неудобны по сравнению с многоместными.

Какие... можно посмотреть в отчётах по Сокотре, я не разбираюсь в моделях... но вроде они не одноместные, а минимум двух...
И вообще... писали, что уже в феврале было ночью жарко спать в палатке ))) Так что не факт, что мы ими в полной мере воспользуемся

Славик шпион очень опытный - он уже одну свою израильскую визу заклеивал другой визой, никто и не заметил, это когда в Судан ездили, так что с визой будет все в порядке.

North Yemen Tour


Day 1: Arrive from Russia in Sana , a night at the Arabia Felix Hotel . ( Golden Dar Tourist Hotel is closed). If you arrive by Turkish airways the plane will arrive early morning sleep in hotel. in the morning you can visit Old Sanaa city, Old Market ( Suq Al-milh) Bab Al-Yemen Gate. Day 2: - Sana'a –Wadi Daar – Thula - Hababa - Shibam - Kawkaban - Al Mahweet. Dep. Sanaa drive to visit Wadi Daar ( Rock Palace Daar Al-Hajjar ) then drive to visit Thula, Hababa, Shibam Kawkaban, Wadi Al-Ahjur –Al-Mahweet. Night at Al-Mahweet. ( Al-Mahweet Hotel) Day 3: Al-Mahweet – Mountains Park - Wadi Sara - Al-Hajjara – Al-Hutaib-Manakha . Dep. Day 5: Jabal Bura – Wadi Tihama - Bait Al-Faqih -Zabid – Al-Khawkha ( Red Sea) Dep. Jabal Bura early morning drive up to the top of Jabal Bura then start very beautiful trekking from Jabal Bura center down to the valley of Jabal Bura, see more villages, coffee farms. Then to the water pools of Bura valley, see the monkeys in the valley. ( 5 hours trekking). I noted down to base prices on a group of 4 people (2 DBL rooms).

All transports on Socotra are done with private jeep; most costs are jeep
rental for Socotra island ; with 4 people we can either take 2 jeeps or 1
jeep depending on if you wish for a more budgetted tour or more
comfort/space. Please let me know which one is your desire (budget or more
space).

Socotra tours are Approx. $120 per person per day for 2-4 people including
all services, accommodation and full board foods. The roundflights with
Felix Air are fixed at $426 USD and need early booking (for groups at
least 6-8 weeks ahead) as they book out very quick having only 2 flights
per week carrying up to 80 passengers.

Mainland trips are our speciality and we can customize and offer more
budgetted tours.

Please know the requested budget hotel Golden Daar is not open anymore

(optionally: 1-2 extra days trekking in Haraz mountains)


Additionally we can visit Hodeida, Taiz, Ibb, Jibla in another 3-4 days
roundtrip by land (making it a 8-9 day mainland trip). HOWEVER, security
is fluctuating for some parts of this route and the police decides
last-minute if a trip to these places can continue in safety or not.

Currently we can visit Hodeida-Taiz-Ibb-Jibla but we don't know if this
will be the case next months. The places in the 5-day tourprogram listed
above has been stable for 4 years and are more likely to continue.

If you can let me know how many days you wish to spend on mainland and

Чем занять два дня? Надо со всей ватагой посоветоваться, там по Сокотре 5-й день пропущен и нет плато Диксам и каньона Вади Дирхур!
