И так как случаи разные бывают, а на сайте компании есть несколько вариантов страхования, решили им написать и все услышать так сказать из первых уст.

1.Somebody has stolen my car and it’s not my fault. Is it right, that I don’t have to pay anything? Or I have to pay 21 000 NAD, and the rest (100 000 $ – 21 000 NAD) is paid by insurance company? If the vehicle is stolen and the client was not negligent at all and can give us back the key. Theft of the vehicle is covered in case the client behaved responsible and took care, the vehicle was locked and in case the client can deliver the original car keys. If this is the case the client only pays up to the chosen excess amount of N$21 000.00 in this case.
2.I hit somebody’s vehicle. It’s my fault. Total amount of damage for rented car and third party car is 30 000 NAD. Is it correct that I have to pay 21 000 NAD and insurance company pays only 9 000 NAD? If it’s the clients fault and he was negligent he has to pay the full value of the damages caused to our vehicle.
3.Somebody hits rented car, which I’m driving. The accident is not my fault. Is it correct, that I don’t have to pay anything?
The client is always liable until the excess amount chosen, even if he has no fault at all.
Kindly take note that the vehicle is a manual vehicle.

Sorry for such a big amount of questions, but if I get you right there are absolutely no benefits provided by insurance. During our route there are always safe parking zones, that is why the risk that the car would be stolen is minimal. If I accidently hit other car while I’m driving (I exclude those cases as speeding and drunk driving because I’m an accurate driver) the insurance will not protect me. If somebody hits me anyway I’m liable. Why do I need to buy insurance? I see no reasons for that at all.
Is there any opportunity for auto transmission car?

Regarding the insurance it is important to be aware and understand that there are significant differences compared to Western countries regarding car insurances and responsibility in case of damages. For example, in Namibia and Botswana, it is not obliged to have any car insurance. In practice this means, that the majority of the cars do not have any insurance at all and that the owners and/or car users are responsible for any damages and related compensation in case of an accident or damages.
This is why the client will always be held liable until the chosen excess amount regardless if it was his fault or not, because the chance that the other vehicle involved does not have any insurance, that will pay for the damages etc.
In the event that the other vehicle does have a insurance. The clients will be refund as soon as the other insurance has paid out the claim. But we have experienced that this sometimes can take over a year until anything gets paid out. So that’s the reason why the clients anyway have to pay for it and then only gets refunded at a later stage.

От последнего ответа, я вообще выпал в осадок. В чем смысл страховки, если например, пьяный негр въедет мне в жопу на незастрахованной машине, то я все равно плачу за ущерб компании по аренде, а потом когда нибудь(и то не факт) с него через суд удержат деньги(если есть) и вернут мне (что не факт).
Или я чего то не догоняю?
Если кто то сталкивался со страховыми случаями в Намибии, или просто в теме, напишите плиз.
Я читал отчет где случился перевертыш и люди попали на деньги, но там было превышение скорости, и согласно договора им не светило.
